Jazz Revelations: Issue 1 – Leeds

Magazine Launch with Phenicia, Jake Mehew, & The Olivia Cuttill Quartet Jazz Revelations are excited to be hosting a launch for their first physical magazine, ‘Jazz Revelations: Issue 1 – Leeds’.

Performing at the magazine launch, we welcome some of the best in the Leeds music scene at the moment, including the Olivia Cuttill Quartet, Jake Mehew, and Phenicia headlining.

Proceeds from the launch and magazine sales will go to MAP Charity, a pioneering alternative provider in creative education based in Leeds. Jazz Revelations is a music platform that has been supporting the Leeds, UK and international jazz scenes since 2019.

We publish reviews, interviews, podcasts, and features, as well as broadcast a monthly radio show on 1020 Radio. We are taking our first steps to becoming a printed publication with ‘Jazz Revelations: Issue 1 – Leeds’, our first magazine that focuses on the Leeds jazz scene.

With our team starting the platform in Leeds, we wanted to create a magazine that shares the amazing music of Leeds jazz that has brought so much joy to us during our time living here.

The magazine will present a voice on the scene which is untold and underrepresented in mainstream music media, and should be celebrated more widely.

The magazine includes features from artists in the wider jazz and R&B, neo-soul, hip hop and electronica scenes, including: Phenicia, Vipertime, Yusuf Yellow & August Charles, Jasmine Myra, Sunkissed Child, NikNak, Olivia Cuttill, TC & The Groove Family, Jake Mehew, Plantfood + many more.

We hope to see many of you come down to Wharf Chambers on Wednesday 3rd May to support the Leeds jazz scene, and experience the amazing artists perform that we have here in Leeds.
