Are you ready to rock & roll? Drag queen Vee Dagger presents VELVET GOLDMINE (1998) – a tale of glam rock ambition and queer desire told at maximum volume. This loose interpretation of homoeroticism in the 1970s glam rock scene is a classic of 90s queer cinema from Todd Haynes (CAROL), a surreal Citizen Kane retelling that doubles as an ode to the joys of transgressive creation with Oscar Wilde as its patron saint. Released in 1998, the silver spandex stylings of this hedonist fairy tale shaped the imaginations of wayward kids everywhere. A must-see for partygoers, shitkickers, Bowie fans, bisexuals, and creatures of the night!
