Ambient Leeds hosts: Snö – A Winter Compilation

January 11 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Come and join us for an extraordinary evening of experimental electronics, propulsive post-rock, and abstract ambience (ear protection optional).

In early 2022, John Jervis, the manager of WIAIWYA Records, invited some of his favorite artists from the ambient, electronic, and acoustic genres to contribute to a new compilation. Each artist was tasked with creating a winter-themed instrumental piece inspired by a word for ‘snow’ in one of the world’s languages. The outcome was a 3CD, 30-track collection titled “Snö,” which was released in December 2023.

A selection of the artists who contributed to “Snö” hail from various parts of Yorkshire. Ambient Leeds has the pleasure of hosting four of these artists for a special performance at the Fenton on January 11, 2024.
