Swansea Sound reunite Hue Williams and Amelia Fletcher, who once operated as lead singers of The Pooh Sticks. Amelia (and Rob) are also alumni of Heavenly, who played sell-out comeback gigs earlier this year.

Swansea Sound recorded their first album ‘Live At The Rum Puncheon’ during lockdown without ever meeting each other. Singles including Corporate Indie Band, I Sold My Soul On eBay and Rock n Roll Void gained considerable airplay and the band started playing occasional live shows. Swansea Sound’s second album ‘Twentieth Century’ will be released on Skep Wax Records on 8 September 2023

OORT CLOD

OORT CLOD: Initially formed as a loose collection of musicians working with former Unpaid Intern guitarist and singer Patrick Clod, Manchester-based Oort Clod are now a fully-formed five-piece also consisting of former Hipshakes drummer Bruce Sargent, his younger brother Matt Kings, Matt Fortunati – the Italian Bobby Digital and producer. According to some bloke on the Internet who uploaded their single and live album (and will be served a cease and desist imminently) Oort Clod sound more like proponents of Australia’s contemporary indie music scene rather than anything distinctly Mancunian.

Wandering Summer are a shoegaze-noisepop band from the underbelly of LS6, mingling lofi jangle with clouds of psychedelic fuzz. Wandering Summer rouse the essence of Sonic Youth, Flying Nun Records and the West Coast USA DIY pop scene.
