Still Cinema Presents – Funeral Parade of Roses
Join Still Time Cinema as we present the Japanese New Wave Classic Funeral Parade of Roses as part of the Scalarama Film Festival. From the mind of visionary director Toshio Matsumoto, the story follows Eddie, a trans woman working at an underground gay bar in 60s Tokyo. The story loosely adapts Greek Tragedy and uses avant-garde techniques to offer an unparalleled look at under-represented groups in a rapidly changing society, as well as redefine what cinema can be.
