As an artist/producer, NikNak is the first Black Turntablist to win an Oram Award in 2020 and regularly pushes boundaries on what the turntables are capable of. Not limited to any one genre or role, NikNak excels in composing, sound design, DJing, and electronic arts. Her dedication to exploring new sonic realms has earned her widespread acclaim and recognition as a rich talent in the electronic music industry. With multiple releases, collaborations, and live shows, NikNak stands out for her approach to authentic creation and representation. Having supported Loraine James, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Yoda, Shiva Feshareki and many more previously, NikNak continues to advance the boundaries of sound innovation with her uniquely complex turntablism practice and spatial music production.
