HEINOUS WHINING PRESENTS: OTTO WILLBERG // AONGHUS MCEVOY // GRIFT WORK
November 30 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm£4 – £8
Another Heinous Whining showcase of quasi-music outerrealm pickings and pokings. A particularly musical night of abstracted funky bass jams and acoustic fingerpicked zonings
£8 or £4 low or unwaged
no one turned away for lack of funds as always
One of the UK’s finest and more versitile improvisors and good-time-had-by-all musicians Otto can be found jamming out with Historically Fucked, Abstract Concrete, Yes Indeed or, this time, rockin’ it solo with processed bass harmonica and bass licks into indescribable somethings to leave your brain to while moving your body in new confounding ways
Is ‘American Primitivism’ region specific or just a generic genre description now? Either way Aonghus (one of them lot in Woven Skull) is drawing on that rick stream of fingerpicked acousticing and runs with it drawing out the best bits into music that’s over way too soon despite it’s length with none of the pratting about or worrying about the past
Goldring and Violet return with woozy analog synthisizations combined with operatic unease
