Farah Chamma + Draags (Vandal Factory podcast LIVE)

Welcome to a special, raucous LIVE episode of the Vandal Factory podcast, discussing the magic moments where art and activism meet. With passion and humour, poet Henry Raby and theatre-maker Natalie Quatermass present raw live music, fiery performance poetry, chewy chats and some unique surprises along the way.
Featuring special guests: Palestinian poet Farah Chamma and queer punk band Draags
FARAH CHAMMA is a Palestinian poet and performer. She is known for her vibrant and unique spoken-word performances, in which she combines orality, acting, and live music. Her words are fiercely political, but also laced with heart and a love for humanity. One half of musical duo chamaeleon, she’s participated in many different events and festivals around the world including France, Germany, Jordan, Portugal, Mexico and Holland.
DRAAGS combine queer punk, hardcore, hip-hop, prog and dance, with theatrical vocals, screaming horns and heavy groovy rhythms. Based in Leeds, their music is both an escape from and a direct sucker punch to capitalism and the oppressive state. Their lyrics focus on social justice, alienation and dystopia in society.
Doors 7.30pm, show starts 7.45pm.
Tickets are £5, £10, £15 or £20. You can choose whatever tier you want to pay (plus booking fee).
