EVENT NAME: LGBTQ+ Clothes Swap Feel free to drop the LGBTQ+ since it’s probably quite obvious given your venue
BLURB/DESCRIPTION:
Clothes swaps are a great way to explore your style, help others and save clothes going to landfill.
SOMETHING NEW FROM OUR PREVIOUS SWAPS- we will have a tailor onsite doing alterations (on the day only), making packers, adjusting binders etc
We try to recycle clothes where possible but we really appreciate it if you could check that donations are clean and in good condition.
You’ll be able to drop clothes off from 3 but we won’t allow anyone in to swap from 3.30 to make sure we’ve set everything up. The bar will be open as normal during the event.
If you don’t have clothes to swap but you want to take clothes, that’s fine, you can pay £2 per item instead. We’ll be taking donations to Trans Support Hub CIC which helps us keep these events free for those who can’t afford an entry fee.
There will be a changing room and mirror.
We’ve already got plenty of donations from our previous events so there will be lots off choice and we always keep a range of sizes, but it’s even better if you can hang out in the bar and make multiple visits because we expect to get further donations throughout the day.
WE REALLY APPRECIATE TRANS SPECIFIC DONATIONS SUCH AS BINDERS, CHEST ENHANCERS, GAFFS, PACKERS ETC.
We’ll be taking pictures to promote the work we do and future events, please let us know on arrival if you don’t want us to take your picture.
