A sound underpinned and overlaid with drones\, moving in and around a diverse chasm of post-rock\, melancholic doom\, noise and ambient. \nLed by Richard Knox since 2011 and now existing as a trio with Luke Bhatia and Claire Knox\, A-Sun Amissa have a fiercely DIY approach to music that takes in recording\, tour booking\, artwork and putting out their own records via Richard’s Gizeh label that has been in operation since 2004. \nAIDAN BAKER\nListen – Bandcamp / Website – aidanbaker.org / Instagram \nAidan Baker is a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist focusing on the electric guitar as his \nprimary instrument. Using prepared and alternate methods of playing the guitar\, along with various electronic effects\, Baker creates music which generally falls within the ambient/experimental genre but draws on influences from post-rock\, shoegaze\, electronica\, neo-classical\, and jazz. \nA highly prolific artist\, Baker has released numerous recorded works\, both solo and with various \ngroup projects—most notably his dreamsludge duo\, Nadja—and including collaborations with such artists as Tim Hecker\, Carla Bozulich\, Jussi Lehtisalo (Circle/Pharaoh Overlord)\, Ekin Fil\, FM Einheit\, and many more—on such independent labels as Karlrecords\, Southern Lord Records\, Important Records\, Alien8 Recordings\, and Gizeh Records. A frequent live performer\, Baker has toured extensively around the world\, including appearances at such international festivals as FIMAV\, SXSW\, Amplifest\, Unsound\, Roadburn\, and Supersonic.
