We don’t dictate the type of music – you can play whatever you want to\, and we relish that variety!\n\n\n\nNo DJ skills are needed\, and our ethos is – no pressure\, no competition\, no egos.\n\n\n\nPlease get there early to put your name down. We draw names out for the running order and later arrivals may be too late to be drawn. We also sometimes reduce the number of records that some people can play if we have high numbers attending – but we do try to fit in as many seven record sets as possible.\n\n\n\nSeven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. We run our sessions purely for the joy of playing and listening to records as a shared experience.

DESCRIPTION:Truck Violence is a Canadian progressive hardcore and noise-rock band. Originally formed in Alberta and now based in Montreal\, they are celebrated for blending abrasive sludge and post-hardcore with stripped-back\, dark folk and banjo. Their raw\, DIY sound is a cathartic exploration of rural life\, disillusionment\, and resilience \nINSTAGRAM | BANDCAMP \nStress Positions is a band from Chicago\, IL. The band is made up of three members from the now-defunct C.H.E.W. (Drummer Jonathan Giralt\, guitarist Benyamin Rudolph\, and bassist Russell Harrison) with new vocalist Stephanie Brooks. The band formed in 2020 during the Covid pandemic and plays forward-looking classic American hardcore punk. This is jungle D-Beats for clapping cheeks. DESCRIPTION:This is a special session to celebrate the Seventh anniversary of Seven by Seven! \nIf the weather is fine we’ll be outside in the back yard at Wharf Chambers for this one. And we’ve extended the length of the session to eight hours to fit in as many sets as possible. \n\nAs always:\n\nSeven by Seven is a friendly open decks vinyl playing session. You can bring along and play us seven of your 7” 45rpm vinyl singles – hence Seven by Seven – or just come and listen to others play. The 7” 45rpm format is the only limitation. We don’t dictate the type of music – you can play whatever you want to\, and we relish that variety!\n\n\n\nNo DJ skills are needed\, and our ethos is – no pressure\, no competition\, no egos.\n\n\n\nPlease get there early to put your name down. We draw names out for the running order and later arrivals may be too late to be drawn. We also sometimes reduce the number of records that some people can play if we have high numbers attending – but we do try to fit in as many seven record sets as possible.\n\n\n\nSeven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. We run our sessions purely for the joy of playing and listening to records as a shared experience.
