We draw names out for the running order and later arrivals may be too late to be drawn. We also sometimes reduce the number of records that some people can play if we have high numbers attending – but we do try to fit in as many seven record sets as possible.\n\n\n\nSeven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. SUMMARY:Jackie O Motherfucker\, Lo Egin + Sour Faced Lil
DESCRIPTION:Jackie-O Motherfucker was founded by Tom Greenwood in the mid 90’s\, the group has had more than forty members over the years drawn from the U.S. experimental scene\, notably Natalie Mering\, who now records under Weyes Blood\, briefly on bass. The current line up is a 4 piece lead by Tom Greenwood. Jackie-O Motherfucker’s music draws from a variety of subgenres including various folk musics of the world\, drone\, free jazz\, psychedelia\, and noise rock\, and is heavily improvisational in its nature. The group has had recordings released by many different labels including Fire Records\, Ecstatic Peace\, Feeding Tube Records\, ATP Recordings and their own U-Sound Archive and has been on several international tours including several performances at All Tomorrow’s Parties Festivals by way of Sonic Youth. Formed in 2016 when Springer was a fresh high school graduate\, the band has grown and evolved along with her. You can bring along and play us seven of your 7” 45rpm vinyl singles – hence Seven by Seven – or just come and listen to others play. The 7” 45rpm format is the only limitation. We don’t dictate the type of music – you can play whatever you want to\, and we relish that variety!\n\n\n\nNo DJ skills are needed\, and our ethos is – no pressure\, no competition\, no egos.\n\n\n\nPlease get there early to put your name down. We draw names out for the running order and later arrivals may be too late to be drawn. We also sometimes reduce the number of records that some people can play if we have high numbers attending – but we do try to fit in as many seven record sets as possible.\n\n\n\nSeven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. We run our sessions purely for the joy of playing and listening to records as a shared experience.
