Kalash also extends his practice into inter-disciplinary theoretical research. He has produced several solo and collaborative musical albums and is active as touring musician\, in addition to that he also created several sound installations\, live audio-visual performances\, and photography projects. \nA dab hand at piano\, oud and saxophone but constantly treading new ground in electronics all while collaborating with the likes of Ka Baird and John Tilbury. We don’t dictate the type of music – you can play whatever you want to\, and we relish that variety!\n\n\n\nNo DJ skills are needed\, and our ethos is – no pressure\, no competition\, no egos.\n\n\n\nPlease get there early to put your name down. We draw names out for the running order and later arrivals may be too late to be drawn. We also sometimes reduce the number of records that some people can play if we have high numbers attending – but we do try to fit in as many seven record sets as possible.\n\n\n\nSeven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. We run our sessions purely for the joy of playing and listening to records as a shared experience.

DESCRIPTION:Jackie-O Motherfucker was founded by Tom Greenwood in the mid 90’s\, the group has had more than forty members over the years drawn from the U.S. experimental scene\, notably Natalie Mering\, who now records under Weyes Blood\, briefly on bass. The current line up is a 4 piece lead by Tom Greenwood. Jackie-O Motherfucker’s music draws from a variety of subgenres including various folk musics of the world\, drone\, free jazz\, psychedelia\, and noise rock\, and is heavily improvisational in its nature. The group has had recordings released by many different labels including Fire Records\, Ecstatic Peace\, Feeding Tube Records\, ATP Recordings and their own U-Sound Archive and has been on several international tours including several performances at All Tomorrow’s Parties Festivals by way of Sonic Youth.
