We don’t dictate the type of music – you can play whatever you want to\, and we relish that variety!\n\n\n\nNo DJ skills are needed\, and our ethos is – no pressure\, no competition\, no egos.\n\n\n\nPlease get there early to put your name down. We draw names out for the running order and later arrivals may be too late to be drawn. We also sometimes reduce the number of records that some people can play if we have high numbers attending – but we do try to fit in as many seven record sets as possible.\n\n\n\nSeven by Seven is a non-commercial operation. We run our sessions purely for the joy of playing and listening to records as a shared experience.

Tracing the connective tissue between art\, sacrifice\, and the weight of violence upon a shared consciousness\, Cocteau crafts the syntax of subconscious feeling that would come to define the rest of The Orphic Trilogy. Arresting portraits of the inexpressible\, vistas of oneiric quality\, and vignettes of the repressed bursting forth all collate in wondrous montage\, concretising the words of its creator: “Poets . . . shed not only the red blood of their hearts but the white blood of their souls\,”. \nThe event consists of two parts\, with the film being played twice. The first screening will feature a live score by musicians TBC and TBC\, followed by a second screening where you\, the audience\, will participate.
