Return of Kibitz!

March 27 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Kibitz are back!
After a 5-year hiatus of soul-searching and escaping various viruses, they’re back in full force with some new friends, new music & plenty more dancing! Their latest incarnation shifts the focus to new original music. Still inspired by the soundscapes of klezmer and Balkan music, Kibitz bring a sonic whirlwind of their expansively eclectic influences, incorporating elements as far reaching as jazz manouche, Irish trad, reggae, classical and prog rock, playfully experimenting with time, texture, mood and dynamic.
Leading us into the dance are their captains: accordionist Barney Tabor and violinist Robin Timmis – expect to get a sweat on with their infectious beats and melodies on the triumphant return!
On this fine evening, Kibitz will be sharing the stage with new locals Heart Shaped Logic and Erÿs!
Heart Shaped Logic will take listeners on a journey through the human existence via sound, weaving music that is as dynamic as it is heartfelt.  Brainchild of Samwise Seidel, who brings his sound and songs from an extended time in the Southern Hemisphere. Expect to be taken on a trip through lush landscapes and emotional adventures that feel both timeless and profoundly present.
Erÿs are a vibrant three-piece contemporary folk band that breathe new life into the genre – combining rich new melodies with traditional repertoire. Meriel Paget, Buffy Hughes and Freyja Evelyn work together to create original compositions and reimagined arrangements, creating a rich acoustic palette with fiddle and cello, weaved in around Freyja’s beautiful voice, all supported on a bed of guitar.
